Synopsis for the southern California coast and Santa Barbara
Channel including the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary
and National Park...at 15Z, or 8 AM PDT, a 1022 MB surface high
was centered about 500 NM southwest of Los Angeles, while a 1009 MB
thermal low was over Arizona. The high pressure area will continue
to strengthen and build towards California through Wednesday or
Thursday. Gales and widespread steep seas will create hazardous sea
conditions through Wednesday or Thursday.
