.Synopsis for the southern California coast and Santa Barbara
Channel including the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary
and National Park...at 15Z, or 8 AM PDT, a 1027 mb high was
located 500 NM W of Eureka. A 1004 mb thermal low was located in
central Nevada. Hazardous marine conditions, with strong winds and
steep seas, will spread across the coastal waters beginning as
early as late tonight and will continue through the weekend and into
early next week. Gale Force Winds will be possible over the Outer
Waters, as well as the Inner Waters north of Point Sal and the
western Santa Barbara Channel.
